Sunbend is built to need as little personal data as possible: no account, no usage analytics, and your location never leaves your Mac. The controller is Aloquence Technologies s.r.o., Luky 1115/25, 952 01 Vráble, Slovakia. Contact: hello@sunbend.app.
The Sunbend app
- Location and settings stay on your Mac. You choose a city, or let macOS find your location once; Sunbend does not send it anywhere.
- License checks send your license code when you activate, and a random installation identifier created on your Mac (stored only as a hash on our side), so one license works on one computer. They contain no information about your screen, apps or usage.
- Update checks, if you turn them on, download a list of versions from sunbend.app. No system profile is sent.
- Diagnostics are sent only if you choose to send them, and never include your location or the apps you have picked.
Purchases and licenses
Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives your card details, name and billing address. We never see your full card number. We keep your purchase email, plan, purchase and subscription identifiers from Stripe, license status and activation dates. We use them to deliver and verify your license, let you recover or move it, handle refunds and keep the accounting records the law requires.
License and management emails are sent through Zoho (EU data centre). We do not track whether you open emails or click links. We send no marketing.
This website and the license pages
We use no analytics or advertising cookies. The license management page keeps a short session in your browser tab while you use it. Pages are served by Cloudflare, and fonts load from Google Fonts; both receive the connection information needed to deliver them. To prevent abuse, the license service counts requests per IP address for up to one day.
Service providers
Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website and license service hosting), Zoho (email), GitHub (encrypted backups) and Google (web fonts). Some process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Backups of the license database are encrypted before they leave the service, with a key the backup host does not have.
Legal bases
We process purchase and license data to perform our contract with you, accounting records to meet legal obligations, and abuse-prevention data for our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and secure.
How long we keep data
- One-time management links: 15 minutes. IP request counters: one day.
- Copies of license emails waiting to be sent: deleted seven days after delivery.
- License and purchase records: while your license exists, and accounting records for as long as Slovak law requires (up to ten years).
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@sunbend.app. You can also complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk) or the authority where you live.

We will update this page if our data handling changes and show the effective date above.
