Sunbend for Mac

Natural colors by day, warmer after sunset, dim at bedtime. Try every feature free for seven days.

The download opens at launch. This page will then offer the latest version and its SHA-256 checksum. Questions before then: hello@sunbend.app.

Requirements

macOS 26 or later
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer)
An internet connection to start the trial or activate a license, and at least once every seven days afterwards

Sunbend is sold directly, not through the Mac App Store, and is not notarized by Apple. macOS therefore asks you to approve it once:

Download the ZIP file and open it. Move Sunbend to your Applications folder.
Open Sunbend. macOS says it cannot verify the developer. Choose Done.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway next to Sunbend. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
Sunbend opens and lives in the menu bar. Choose your city and start the free trial.

You only do this once. Updates are installed from inside Sunbend, signed with our own key, and open without asking again.

To check a download, compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one shown here: in Terminal, run shasum -a 256 followed by the file name.
